Marina District Downtown San Diego
The Marina District was a former industrial and commercial anchor of downtown San Diego and has been redeveloped into an established neighborhood full of shopping, restaurants, residences, and activities. The Marina District is located at the southwest end of downtown San Diego southeast of the Gaslamp District and north of the Columbia District. The Marina District was initially developed by Alonzo Horton as he was building the Gaslamp District. Students who live in the Marina District attend schools within the San Diego Unified School District. Schools include Washington Elementary School, and Roosevelt International Middle School.
